Morning
Surf Camp
9:00AM - 1:00pm
The Morning
Surf Camp is open to Afternoon Jr. Lifeguards. Surf Camp sign-in is at 9am at our Rosecrans Ave. location. At the end of Session 1 at 1pm, Afternoon Jr. Lifeguards will be escorted by
a Campsurf instructor to their JG program in time for their Afternoon Jr. LIfeguards session. Child pick-up will be
at their JG program location at the end of their program at 4:30pm.
Afternoon Surf Camp
12:00PM - 4:00PM
The Afternoon Surf Camp is open to Morning Jr. Lifeguards. JG's will be greeted at the completion of their Junior Lifeguard session at a designated location at 11:30am by a Campsurf
instructor and escorted as a group to our Surf Camp at Rosecrans Ave.. Upon arrival JG's will meet at the beach for
lunch until 1pm when the surf instruction and real fun will begin. Surf Camp ends at 4pm and pick-up is at our Rosecrans Ave. location.
*Walking escort to and from Junior Lifeguard Program only available to Manhattan Beach Junior Lifeguards
*Bike caravans on the bike path from Hermosa Beach and El Segundo Junior LIfeguard programs will
be coordinated based on sign-up's.
*12:00-1:00pm is lunch and relax time. There
will be no surfing during this time to ensure the kids get some rest, shade, and a chance to rehydrate during their long beach
day.
What to Bring:
- Towel, Sunscreen and Water
- Packed lunch or $10 for lunch. Instructors will escort surfers to local
restaurants for lunch including Beach Hut, El Tarasco, Sandos, and Sloopy's.
- We will provide surfboards and wetsuits, but surfers may bring their own equipment.
We can store surfer's equipment, if they'd like, so they don't have to carry it to and from their JG program. If
surfers choose this option each surfboard must have a protective board bag (unless it's a soft foam board).
- Bikes
required for El Segundo and Hermosa Beach JG's who wish to be escorted to their respective JG locations
